So… Today I made a big dumb boo-boo.I guess I always knew that I’m not good at keeping secrets, but it turns out I’m REALLY not good at keeping secrets!
I was in the car tonight on my way to dinner with some friends, and I was talking to David on my Bluetooth car phone. I was telling him about my day and I mentioned that some people at work had been asking about how to access my blog. In particular, they were asking about how to access my wedding dress posts. I said something like: “so I told them it’s Ananee.WordPress.com and the password is bride” and then immediately I was like “oh crap I shouldn’t’ve said that!”
David started laughing, and I asked him if he would be able to simply forget the password and he said no. I begged him not to look at the post as it’s not simply a word post but I also put pictures on there of different dresses that I tried on and I really want to keep the dress a surprise. He said he wouldn’t look at it. So I asked him again to please forget the password and he said that that was simply impossible because I made it way too easy… Sigh.
So yeah I’m a dork, I’m a dork, I’m a dork dork dork. I’m a dork, I’m a dork, I’m a dork dork dork. I’m a dork, I’m a dork, I’m a dork dork dork… DOOOORK!!! Dork dork dork. (to the tune of that one children’s song)
Anyways… When I got to the restaurant where I was having dinner it turns out that it was a bit of an impromptu wedding shower for me and David though he wasn’t there. They gave me flowers and a balloon and a Hawaiian Lei to wear.
My friends gave me cards for David and I and a bunch of gift cards for different things like Bed Bath and Beyond, Cineplex, and Starbucks… And the dollar store! I was so overwhelmed by their generosity. Which I think is super fantastic! Phenomenal even! My friends truly didn’t need to do that, and it was really generous of them. David and I are truly thankful :-)
When I got to David’s I decided to share the wealth and I put my crown on his head and gave him the Lei to wear and gave him the balloon and the flowers to hold. Aaaaand then I snapped a picture!
